Candidate Privacy Policy

How Twist Talent (Private) Limited handles your data when we consider you for a role, or engage you to work with one of our clients.

Last updated

1.Who we are

TwistTalent is operated by Twist Talent (Private) Limited ("TwistTalent", "we", "us"). We connect engineers with technology companies for remote engagements, either on demand or as dedicated team members we employ. We are the controller of the data you share with us as a candidate.

Questions or requests about your data: support@twisttalent.net.

2.What we collect

  • What you give us: your name, contact details, professional profile, CV, engineering discipline, experience, current role, availability, and anything else you choose to share.
  • What we learn during the process: notes from screening conversations, the results of any technical exercises, your compensation expectations, preferred working hours, and feedback from client interviews.
  • References, only with your permission and only when you reach the later stages for a specific role.
  • Publicly available professional information, such as online professional profiles or public code repositories, where relevant to roles you are interested in.

Please do not include sensitive information in your CV, such as religion, health, national identity card number, or photographs. We do not need it.

3.How we use your data

  • To assess your experience and match you with suitable roles.
  • To contact you about roles that fit your profile.
  • To present your profile to a client for a specific role, after we have discussed that role with you.
  • To coordinate interviews and, if you are selected, to set up and administer your engagement, including payroll and HR.
  • To meet our legal obligations and keep accurate records.

Decisions about who to shortlist are made by people, not by automated systems.

4.When we share your profile

We only share your CV and profile with a client after we have told you about the role and you have agreed to be put forward. Clients receive the information needed to assess you for that role, and are required to use it only for that purpose.

We also use service providers, such as secure storage, email, spreadsheet and applicant tracking tools, that process data on our behalf.

5.Legal bases

We rely on your consent, given when you share your details with us, which you can withdraw at any time; on taking steps at your request before entering into an engagement; on our legitimate interest in matching engineers with suitable roles; and on legal obligations once you are engaged.

6.International transfers

Our clients are often based in a different country from you. When we share your profile for a role, your data is transferred to the client's country. We only do this with your agreement for that specific role, and under contractual safeguards.

7.How long we keep it

We keep your profile for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can tell you about future roles. We will ask before keeping it longer. If you are engaged through us, we keep the records needed for the engagement and for legal, tax and accounting purposes for the periods those laws require.

8.Your rights

Under the data protection laws that apply to you, you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent removes you from our network; it does not affect what we did before.

Email support@twisttalent.net with your request. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

9.Security

CVs and candidate records are stored with access limited to the people who need them. We use encrypted connections and reputable providers, and we review access regularly.

10.Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you.
